The workshop occupies what once were the smiths’ forges.

The workbench, tool rack and the housing for the forge bellows are still intact.

The kiln and glaze area are housed in the former shoeing bay, where some twenty horses a day were shod.

Anvil Pottery is situated in the small Denbighshire village of Llanrhaeadr-yng-Nghinmeirch, between Denbigh and Ruthin in Denbighshire, North Wales.

The pottery is based in the old village smithy, which is over two hundred years old.
